Here Is Another Weird Reasons I Believe In God
Have you ever heard?
Chances are you have heard the name ‘Jesus Christ’ in movies or everyday talk. But I would bet that it wasn’t from telling you all the good he has done for you or how he came and died for all of your sins. It was most likely spoken as a slang or curse word.
Isn’t it funny how a name of someone could be used for such meaningless things? I could see if it were to describe someone’s behavior, such as behaviors that have been associated with a famous person’s name.
FOR EXAMPLE:
- Benedict Arnold for being a traitor
- Judas for backstabbing
- Mother Teresa for being caring and good
No One Else Ever!
You never hear any other person’s name being used as a curse word, besides Jesus and God. Even those names now have slangs, Gosh, Jeez, Jee-wiz, Golly, Jeepers, Jeepers Creepers & etc.
“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” ~ Exodus 20:7
“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” ~ John 15:18
I have never heard anyone use Buddha, Allah, Satan, & other ‘gods’ people worship in the form of a curse word. That is because they are not worthy of worship or even a curse word.

[/av_two_fifth] If you are a Christian, I challenge you to never take the Lords name in vain or even use the slang words such as Jeez or the others I mentioned above.
If you are not a Christian I urge you to ponder the thought of why out of all the names of people throughout history only God and Jesus Christ is used as a curse word. I believe there is something to it.
