The Passage To Peace In Hard Times is:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” ~John 16:33

Jesus is speaking to his disciples, before his crucifixion, to have peace even in the middle of turmoil. This is a time that will be the hardest for Jesus in his human life here on earth and he is encouraging the people closest to him to keep the faith.

Jesus never promises the Christian life to be easy and without problems or trials, in fact he promises the opposite! Jesus wants our faith to be bigger than our problem. What you do with your trials will determine what kind of Christian you will become.

The Game has already been won!

We are to live our life as confident as if we were watching a prerecorded football game that we already know our team wins. As you watch the football game there will be ups and downs throughout the game but do not let the down times overwhelm you because in the end the game is won! When you live in a way that honors and pleases God, you can be confident that he is in control. Don’t get in the habit of allowing anxiety and stress to dominate your thought-life, but understand the victory has already been secured.

Keep this in mind and you will have the strength in times of weakness, this is what will set you apart as a Christian and will ensure the positive outcome. A strong Christian will hold onto the helm of the ship when the storm comes and the waves are raging. Many people may be looking to you for support and confidence in times of turmoil. Don’t lose heart; your mission is to hold steady because the world is watching.

The ending has been won!
